Imagine the power of over 9 million Californians with Disabilities voting. That is the vision that Disability Vote California was founded on back in 2018. The Disability Vote California is a non-partisan coalition of disability rights advocates and organizations who are passionate about increasing access to and participation in the voting process for people with disabilities.

The right to vote is one of our most valuable Constitutional rights. As John Lewis said, 'The vote is precious. It's almost sacred. It is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have. So go out and vote like you've never voted before.'"

"It's so important to vote to me because there are so many pieces of law that touch different parts. We look at California and we think of the Lanterman Act, but on the national level, there are so many different parts - education, housing, employment, ADA, voting rights - that are important to all of us. We need to make sure we know that these legislators, these policymakers, are going to bring them up for consideration periodically."
